to Mark
Hi all,

The Eastern Cyclo-Cross Association (EC-CA) is to run a regional Cyclo-Cross coaching conference on Saturday 31 March at Writtle College, near Chelmsford.

The conference will feature a mixture of talks and hands-on practical sessions presented by some of the region’s most prominent riders and coaches.  One of the key speakers will be Mark Walker, Deputy Head of the School of Sport, Equine and Animal Sciences at Writtle College.  Mark’s presentation will include details of his research into pacing strategy and workload demands of competing in amateur and elite cyclo-cross.  Additional sessions include practical cyclo-cross coaching and an update on cyclo-cross coaching qualifications from British Cycling Coach Education.  The conference will conclude with a discussion on how to set up a Cyclo-Cross Coaching work group in the region.

The organisers, Mark Wyer (Chair of the EC-CA) and Mark Walker are hoping this will become an annual event, perhaps of national significance, attracting delegates from all over the country.

There are just 30 places available for this event so please book as soon as possible.

Who is the event for?
Coaches and riders who want to learn about some of the latest developments and research in cyclo-cross.

How to book
The event costs just £5 but doesn’t include lunch.  To book a place, just email markwyer@ntlworld.com and pay on the day.  If you do book, please turn up as you may deny someone else a place.

How to find the venue
Writtle College is just five minutes from Chelmsford in Essex, CM1 3RR. Further travel directions can be found at www.writtle.ac.uk/Contact-Us.

Best wishes,
Mark.
